Learning Arabic through The Quran - Verbs 14-20

This post is in: Teaching & Learning Arabic, Verbs

The seven Arabic words we’ll be covering today occur in the Qur’an nearly 200 times combined! This is because each of these words (and their various forms) are repeated very often. The 7 verbs included in the below PDF document are:

  • To Complete (occurs about 17 times in the Qur’an)
  • To Not Recognise / To Deny (25)
  • To Conceal / To Speak Secretly (18)
  • To Produce / To Create (22)
  • To Make / Cause to grow (16)
  • To Befall / To Inflict (65)
  • To Send Forward / To Proceed (27)

For each word, there are at least 7 examples of it being used in the Qur’an. This makes remembering the words easier inshaAllah. View or download the PDF using the below link.

  2. Assalamualaikum,

MashaAllah! all I can say is I am blown over by this amazing initiative.May Allah keep your niyyah for Him alone and help you continue in your efforts.amin

i’m trying to make simple materials for my children
One idea is to have a list of verbs i.e. ‘to write’ ‘to speak’ etc Quranic and ones they are likely to use, therefore remember inshaAllah.
The idea is to have children put the masculine and feminine ‘verb cards’ under the correct heading.
Im trying to move away from the ‘copy the list’ method. This may be vital for older years, but I truly believe you can introduce this divine language to younger kids in a fun and more comprehensible way inshaAllah. The words should be large enough for the children to ba able to manipulate in their hands, with the endings in colour?

Im hopeless at using the computer to produce arabic materials.any advice?
perhaps if you put them on this website, other parents can also benefit:)
    wassalam
