Shepperd pie

Ingredients
+ 2 tablespoon Oil
+ 2 cloves garlic, crushed
+ 1 large Onion, finely chopped
+ 1kg Mince beef
+ 5 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
+ 5 tablespoon Tomato paste
+ 2 fresh Tomatoes, chopped
+ pinch of dried mixed herbs
+ 200grams can Mushrooms, pieces & stems
+ 1 cup frozen Peas
+ 1kg Potatoes (boiled until soft)
+ 3/4 cup Milk
+ 40grams Butter
+ 1/2 cup Mozarella cheese
Method
- Heat oil in a saucepan; cook garlic, onions and carrots, stirring until onions soften.
- Add beef and cook until brown for about 10 minutes.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, tomatoes, herbs. Reduce heat. Simmer.
- Add peas and mushrooms. Also add salt and pepper to taste.
- Meanwhile, preheat oven to 180degrees and with the boiled potatoes, mash with butter, salt and milk.
- Pour beef mixture into a deep 3 litre ovenproof dish and topped with mashed potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes until the top is slightly browned.
- Before serving, stand for 15 minutes.
