This post is in: *Misc, Recipes for Mum
This is a famous Malaysian breakfast dish, served with chicken or beef curry.
Ingredients (makes approx 20)
1 Egg
1 ½ cup water
250g Plain Flour
½ can Evaporated Milk
Pinch of Salt
Teaspoon of yellow colouring
Method to make batter
Beat the egg and milk in a bowl.
Gradually sift the flour and stir well.
Add water as you go along.
Make sure the consistency is not too watery or too thick.
Then add the yellow colouring and leave aside for 30minutes.
Method to make pancake
Heat crepe pan and grease with some butter
Pour some batter into the mold and transfer the mold to the pan.
As the batter flows through the holes of the mold, make circular rounds around the pan to form the netty patterns.
Once the top is set and done or when the bottom turns light brown, transfer the pancake out and fold it into triangle shape.
Serve with chicken/beef curry.
